A map of real dining promos across Metro Manila and Metro Cebu: credit-card offers from the banks and current chain promos, each one linked to the bank’s or restaurant’s own page. Every area is open: filter by your cards or by day, and go eat.

The places come from OpenStreetMap, the open map of the world that anyone can edit: over 20,000 restaurants, cafes and bars in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu. We add the tenants of malls from the malls’ own directories, and now and then a restaurant a promo names that the map was missing, placed from the address on the promo itself.

The card deals come from the banks. Every night tara reads the dining promo pages of eleven banks, works out which restaurants each promo names, and pins it on those places, with the discount, the card, the days and the end date as the bank wrote them. When a promo names a chain but not its branches, it goes on every branch of that chain, and the deal says it may not apply at every location.

The chain promos are checked by hand against the brand’s own posts. One goes on the map only if it comes from an official source, runs for a limited time, works at the branch and not only through delivery, and is running now or has a start date we can show.

No, that’s the nature of promos. Every offer belongs to the bank or restaurant that runs it, and they change or end promos without telling anyone. We re-check the banks’ pages every night and drop anything expired automatically, but a page can still lag behind reality for a day, or a restaurant can honour a promo differently at one branch.

Two asks: always confirm the promo with the bank or the restaurant before you pay, and if a deal is wrong, tap Report on it and tell us what you saw.

Because most of the map is built automatically, and a machine can only be as right as the pages it reads. Banks edit their promo pages without notice, a promo can match the wrong branch, and a place can sit a street away from where it really is. You are the one standing at the counter, so you see it first.

A person reads every report. When you tell us a deal ended, a branch doesn’t honour it, or a pin is in the wrong spot, the fix goes to everyone who opens tara after you. Each report makes the map more right for the next group chat.

So you can tell whose offer is whose. tara is not a bank and not a restaurant: their names and logos appear only to show whose offer it is, and every deal links to its public source, the bank’s or the brand’s own page.

Card promos are read again from the banks’ own pages every night, and expired deals drop out automatically. Chain promos are researched by hand from official pages and refreshed regularly. If a promo has day rules (weekdays only, every Tuesday) or starts later, the card shows it.

Yes: tara opens on a small preview of the map (Bicutan, Taguig) with the deal headlines. For everything else, sign in with any Google account. You are in straight away, no invite needed.

Signing in opens the whole map and keeps your card picks and saved deals with you between devices. Any Google account works. We store the minimum: your email and name, your picks, and the deals you save. Details in the privacy policy.

Yes, once you sign in. Every area is open to everyone, with nothing to unlock or pay for. To bring a friend along, tap your initial, then Invite a friend.

Only on your device, only when you tap “Use my location”, and only to sort what’s near you. Your location is never sent to or stored on our servers.
